Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, or any other number of life problems?
As a parent, do you have a child, or children, who are dealing with struggles in school, with making friends, or behavioral issues?
Has he or she been diagnosed with an attention deficit disorder, learning disability, or autism spectrum condition?
Or are you just not sure what is going on with either yourself or your child?
For over 19 years of clinical practice in agencies, schools, hospitals, and private practice, my mission has been to bring hope and understanding to your situation.
I’m Steve Borgman, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, practicing in Barrington, IL.
As a counselor, I provide individual and family therapy. My areas of expertise include helping children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, anger management, and relationship difficulties. I also specialize in Christian counseling and in addressing men’s issues.
Therapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth and development. As a therapist, I provide you with an environment of unconditional support and understanding. By building a trusting and reliable relationship, I help people approach their concerns openly so they may increase awareness of themselves, reduce distressing emotions, learn new skills, and build more satisfying relationships.
CBT helps you identify how early learning experiences shaped their perceptions of themselves, their world and their future, and how this influences your feelings and reactions to circumstances and life events.
Solution-focused therapy helps you identify your own resources and solutions to problem solve better life outcomes. Equipped with skills and solutions, you can grow and improve in how effectively you manage life’s challenges.
Learning together, we can work to create more personal satisfaction, greater emotional well-being, increased self-mastery, and improved relationships.
My Pledge To You:
I promise to listen carefully with an open mind.
I will reflect back to you what I hear, and I will be a sounding board without a hidden agenda.
I will stand behind your goals when possible.
I will stay constructive and practical.
I will ask you for your honest feedback about the goals/topics we are covering, and how you feel about the progress you are making.
